TopCon and Heterojunction Cell Processing
Dr. Damian Brunner – Senior R&D Manager Solar & Battery - explained the latest process developments for texturing, cleaning and plating on SHJ as well as TopCon cells. The topic of the talk on the well-known TaiyangNews Events was “Wet Chemical Innovations in SHJ and TopCon Cell Processing”.
The highlight of the presentation was a TopCon Solar cell produced at Fraunhofer ISE including an champion efficiency of 23.8% (CalLab measurement). All wet chemical process steps of this cell have been conducted by RENA tools. Additionally Dr. Brunner showed the two different process routes for plating of SHJ cells. Outstanding adhesion and competitive cell performance is achieved with modern production equipment by RENA.
